Membership Benefits
Receive electronic access to Rehabilitation Psychology, the official publication of Division 22, which appears quarterly. Rehabilitation Psychology publishes empirical research articles, reviews, brief reports, case studies, and commentaries. An optional print version of the journal is available at a special members’ rate of only $9.50 per year (the standard individual non-member subscription rate is $164.00 annually).
You will find a comfortable home in the company of friendly, talented, and energetic individuals committed to improving the quality of life of people with chronic health conditions and disability. As a relatively small group, the leaders in the Division are accessible and your opinions will be heard and valued. Opportunities exist to serve on any of the Division's committees, become involved in the sections — Pediatric Rehabilitation Psychology and Women's Issues in Rehabilitation Psychology — or join one of the special interest groups.
You also can subscribe to the Division 22 email list, where Division 22 members share valuable information related to clinical practice, billing (e.g., health and behavior codes), and research.
Division 22 is known for its efforts to foster the career and leadership development of students and early career psychologists. This commitment is demonstrated by including an early career representative and a student representative on the Division 22 Executive Committee. The Division boasts an active mentoring program and strong student-oriented programming and activities in all division conferences, including a best student presentation award and a best student poster award.
Division 22 has a Mid-Winter Conference, which is jointly organized with the American Board of Rehabilitation Psychology. Specific programs designed to help members pursue the ABBP (RP) credentials are offered at this conference every year.
