African Diaspora
PURPOSE
The African Diaspora Special Interest Group (SIG) of Division 22 aims to provide a support network to empower professionals and trainees within rehabilitation psychology who identify as persons of African descent. Secondly, the African Diaspora SIG aims to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice within rehabilitation psychology training, clinical, research and advocacy efforts.

Collaborate within Division 22 on projects (e.g., clinical, research, training) focused on anti-blackness, anti-racism, social justice, and improving outcomes for Black and African Americans, particularly in healthcare systems
Collaborate with other committees (e.g., Training & Education, Diversity) and organizations (e.g., Division 45, Association of Black Psychologists, Society for Black Neuropsychology, Black in Neuro, Academic for Black Survival and Wellness) on projects for which we have shared interests
